Bloody Vampire is a Platforming game that was developed by SilverStar for the Nintendo 3DS and was released on April 25, 2012. The player character is Latis, a dhampir who enters a castle, which has mysteriously appeared in the human world, to defeat its vampire overlord. This is the story of Latis, a girl who is half-human, half-vampire, and her quest to discover why a vampire is invading the human world.
Several years ago, a strange man made his way to the ruins of an abandoned castle on the outskirts of a small town called Verulia. Since then, the locals fear the castle, and none would dare venture near it. Recently, a merchant traveled to Verulia and discovered the entire town was deserted. Her story was embellished, as disturbing rumors of a vampire inhabiting the castle spread like wildfire through the land.
As Latis has grown older and learned more about herself, she feels she is destined by her heritage to bring an end to any threat that vampires pose to humanity. Join Latis and Cereza on their adventure and discover the secrets buried deep in the ancient castle of Verulia. Bloody Vampire is a side-scrolling action-adventure game in which the player controls Latis as she finds her way through a vast, maze-like castle.
She fights enemies in similar fashion to Hydlide or Ys, bumping into enemies with her body and either inflicting or taking damage depending on her strength and position. She will collect coins by defeating enemies that can then be used to buy equipment from shops. In order to progress deeper into the castle, she will need to acquire certain special items that grant her new abilities and allow her to traverse obstacles.
