Mononoke Tantei – Shida no Ayakashi Jiken Chou

Mononoke Tantei – Shida no Ayakashi Jiken Chou is an Action RPG game developed and published by Arc System Works for the Nintendo 3DS. It was released exclusively in Japan on March 26, 2014. As an action RPG, players navigate through various scenarios, engaging in real-time combat and solving puzzles to unravel the overarching narrative. The game is set in the Taisho era, in the capital of flowers, where mysterious events have long been raging. Shida has inherited the title of Ghost Detective from her grandfather.

As in many of the visual novels of the detective type, you will be required to solve the cases by talking to the numerous characters present in the game and collecting objects as clues, all while taking full advantage of the capabilities of the console’s touchscreen. The ultimate goal of the game is to seal Mononoke , the ruler of the ghosts, but to do so you will need to discover his true name. It won’t be easy, as you will need to find clues that will lead to the kanji needed to pronounce it, scattered throughout the game.
