Taiko Drum Master – Adventures through Time and Space also known as Taiko no Tatsujin: Don to Katsu no Jikuu Daibouken in Japan is a Rhythm game developed and published by Bandai Namco Games for the  Nintendo 3DS. It was released exclusively in Japan on June 26, 2014, and was translated to English by tiduscrying. Don and Katsu stumble upon Tocky, who has the important job of protecting time. He tells them that his friend, Ticky, has been kidnapped by Professor Timedyne. The professor is trying to use Ticky to meddle with time. Travel to many different time periods and take down the evil destroying history!

The better you perform in the Taiko Battles against monsters you encounter on your adventure, the more damage you do to them! Some of the monsters you defeat can even become your allies! Featuring more than 100 monsters! Create your own team, train them, and work together to face powerful enemies! The core gameplay of the game is the same as its predecessors on Nintendo DS and 3DS systems. The costumes in this game are back to being in two parts, more akin to the DS games.

Like its predecessor, Little Dragon and the Mysterious Orbs, it features a main story mode that contains RPG elements. Likewise, some of its featured songs have extra tracks. It is also the first Taiko no Tatsujin game which employs paid DLC (downloadable content) and QR codes to unlock extra elements such as songs, costumes and characters. Finally, it is the first game of the series to implement the StreetPass mechanic, where communication occurs between two 3DS systems when they pass by each other.
