Tamagotchi no Doki Doki – Dream Omisetchi

Tamagotchi no Doki Doki – Dream Omisetchi is a Simulation game developed and published by Bandai Namco Games for the Nintendo 3DS. It was released exclusively in Japan on May 23, 2013. It is followed by Tamagotchi no Puchi Puchi Omisetchi – Ninki no Omise Atsumemashita. The Gotchi King greets the player and tells them his plan for a new town for the royal family to live in, wanting to fill it with his favorite things and celebrate the marriage of Princess Tamako and Prince Tamahiko. However, Princess Tamako hears about this plan and gets angry at the king since she refuses to marry Tamahiko and thinks the king is being selfish and not considerate of what his subjects would want.

Thus, the Gotchi King enlists the help of the player to create the new town in his place as they will be more likely to make his subjects happy. Once the player upgrades all shops to royal status, the Gotchi King and Princess Tamako will congratulate the player on their achievement as the shop Tamagotchi plus Bloggertchi join them. Like previous Corner Shop games, the player works to upgrade several shops to help them expand, grow and gain popularity. However, the player does not choose a partner this time. Instead, each shop is run by a Tamagotchi that interacts with the customers while the player themself works to fulfill shop’s objective. After serving a certain number of customers, Bloggertchi will appear to upgrade the shop’s status.

The goal is to upgrade each shop until they reach royal status. Differing from previous games where the shops’ gameplay automatically becomes more complex after being upgraded, other gameplay options will not unlock until the player passes an exam at the Puzzle Center. Outside of working in the shops, the game introduces the feature of customizing the town the shops are in. The player is able to choose where the shops are placed, create paths, and place various decorations into the town. Tamagotchi will wander around the town and the player can tap on them to see their dialogue.
