Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Danger of the Ooze is a 2.5D platform video game developed by WayForward Technologies and published by Activision. It is the second video game based on the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series and features elements from the show’s second and third seasons. It was released as a sequel to the 2013 game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The game also features gameplay elements and homages to the 1989 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles NES game.
The digital versions of the game, alongside other Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games published by Activision, were pulled from all digital storefronts in January 2017 when the rights expired and they chose not to renew the license. The Nintendo 3DS version was later bundled on a single cartridge with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and was released as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Master Splinter’s Training Pack on November 3, 2015, by Abstraction Games. Shredder, the Turtles’ old enemy, is back!
Joined by Tiger Claw, and with a horde of mutant goons at his command, Shredder plans to unleash a new Super Mutagen on New York City – and only the reptilian rumblers can stop him! As Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, there’s a new combat system to master as you battle your way through Shredder’s minions, including new bad guys from the TV show. You can switch freely between each Turtle, using their individual martial art styles to lay on the pain, then finish up with something tasty from a stack of combos, counters and finishers. If you prefer a sneakier approach, go for the stealth option for dodging or tackling enemies.
Whatever your style, the more progress you make, the more experience points you earn, letting you upgrade characters for even bigger beat-downs! As well as the Big Apple, you’ll journey to exciting, remote zones, such as the mysterious Dimension X. Everything connects, and there’s no set path through the game world – the more you explore, the more you’ll uncover, including upgrades, equipment and even the occasional secret! So pack as much pizza as you need, and launch headlong into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS! Cowabunga!
