Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is a video game based on the 2014 film of the same name, developed by Magic Pockets and published by Activision for Nintendo 3DS. It was released on August 5, 2014. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is built around fast-moving hack-and-slash gameplay, letting players swap between its four main characters at will. From Mikey’s speed to Raph’s brute force, each brother brings a unique set of strengths and skills to battle based on their personality. Players can evolve in power over time, gaining new levels, abilities and stat points, while mighty new weapons can be crafted back at the Turtle’s Lair from raw materials collected throughout the adventure.
The game is plays like a beat ’em up in an isometric perspective. The player can play as one of the four turtles which have different abilities and movesets using their signature weapons and can switch between them freely. After defeating enough enemies, they can use their special bar to perform a special move. It has RPG mechanics in which defeating enemies will earn the turtles XP to unlock new moves which can be assigned to different buttons. There is also a crafting mechanic from collecting loot from stages.
