Wreck-It Ralph is a video game based on the movie of the same name. It is for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo DS consoles. The story takes place shortly after the movie. The game is how Ralph and Felix work together to save the three Game Central Station cabinets from the Cy-Bugs: Fix-It Felix, Jr., Hero’s Duty, and Sugar Rush. As a story extension to the highly anticipated upcoming blockbuster film of the same name from Walt Disney Animation Studios. The Wreck-It Ralph video game is set to inspire a whole new generation of young gamers as a classic, arcade-style side scroller featuring Ralph.
The misunderstood villain of his own arcade game who sets out to prove he can be a hero too. Ralph, with the help of his friends Vanellope, Felix, and Sgt. Calhoun, has saved the citizens of Sugar Rush from the infamous Turbo and repelled the first Cy-Bug invasion. While visiting to cheer Vanellope on during the daily roster race, Ralph stumbles across a new and even bigger Cy-Bug threat, the Cy-Bug Queen. The main gameplay consists of guiding Ralph and Felix through several platforming levels in 3 worlds (Fix-It Felix Jr., Sugar Rush and Hero’s Duty) within Game Central (the game’s main hub).
Wreck-It Ralph’s abilities include smashing wooden crates, a ground pound to defeat enemies and pushing and pulling several objects, while Fix-It Felix Jr.’s abilities include double-jumping, wall-jumping, throwing his prized hammer and even repairing broken objects. Scattered throughout the levels include coins (that add towards your score), Hero Medals and even Easter Eggs (which are stored in the Trophy Room, even unlocking bonus concept artwork from the film). Cutscenes in-between levels also include vocal dialogue for every character.
