Okiraku Fishing 3D also known as ARC STYLE – Fishing 3D, is a Sports Fishing game developed and published by Arc System Works for the Nintendo 3DS. It was released exclusively in Japan on March 12, 2014. The game offers three distinct modes: Campaign Mode: Players engage in seven fishing battles against different competitors across five locations. Each battle is a five-minute round where the objective is to score as many points as possible by catching various fish species.
Smaller fish are easier to catch but yield fewer points, while larger fish like sharks are more challenging and offer higher rewards. Free Competition Mode: This mode allows players to select their character, opponent, and fishing location for a single-round match, providing a customizable fishing experience. Survival Mode: Players face consecutive opponents until they lose, testing their fishing skills and endurance in a continuous challenge.
The game features eight playable characters available from the start, each with unique attributes and styles. The gameplay emphasizes competitive fishing, with time-limited matches requiring strategic selection of fishing spots and targets to maximize scores. However, it lacks a non-competitive, free fishing mode without time constraints. Visually, Okiraku Fishing 3D adopts a cute, stylized art direction, contributing to its lighthearted and accessible atmosphere.
