The game was released for the Nintendo 3DS on November 5, 2015 in Japan and in October 2016 in North America, Europe, and Australia. Compared to its predecessor, the game added new features, costumes, worlds, and more characters. The theme song for the game is “Sparkle ~Kagayaki wo Shinjite~” by May J. “Disney Magical World 2, the follow up to the popular franchise, lets players enjoy a variety of new adventures in six Disney-themed worlds.
