Pokemon Project Bugn’t is a 3DS ROM Hack by The Pattern in the Chaos based on Pokemon Ultra Moon in English. It was last updated on June 12, 2026.

Description

Pokemon Project Bugn’t is the sequel of Project Bug, a Pokemon Black 2 romhack. The biggest difference between Project Bug and Project Bugn’t is that this time, “Bugs” are allowed to have multiple types, thus leaving me with like 100 times more creative liberty. Every available Pokémon is being reworked with new types, stats, abilities, and learnsets that match up with the new lowered level curve, giving them tools to deal with each boss.

The difficulty is significantly harder than vanilla USUM, but can be made easier with the optional EV items. Oh, right, Ultra Necrozma is being replaced by Spidops-Unbound. Go complete your dreams of becoming the greatest bug catcher in Alola, and while the alpha currently doesn’t go up that far, I’m planning on replacing Ultra Necrozma with Spidops-Unbound and having False Swipe Gaming’s Ledian as a Postgame boss.

Known Bugs

  • Wormadam can’t actually swap between forms.
  • Postgame Ultra Ledian uses the wrong form
  • Cosmoem requires a Pokémon you can’t obtain
  • Paniola Hau’s Fomantis still has EVs
  • Route 2 still uses the old encounter table with Weedle
  • Volbeat has the wrong learnset
  • Beedrill learning Pluck instead of Tailwind
